About Terrible Lizards Field Guide
Terrible Lizards Field Guide is an independent player resource for Terrible Lizards, the first-person horror platformer set in Dalton's Dinos, a failing Route 66 dinosaur park in 1992. The site focuses on the parts of the game that are hardest to learn from a trailer: the route through each chapter, the trigger that starts a chase, the exact movement input that clears a gap, and the collectibles that are easy to walk past.
The guide is built around four chapter walkthroughs and a route hub, then expands into boss fights, chase sequences, movement tech, speedrun routing, achievements, collectibles, and the story material that sits in notes, audio tapes, and environmental detail. Pages are written to answer a specific question first, then explain the surrounding route so a reader does not have to jump between five tabs.
How the information is checked
Release facts, platform details, and patch notes come from the official Steam listing, the developer's site, PlayStation Blog, Xbox Wire, and Steam news posts. Route details are cross-checked against recorded playthroughs and compared with public walkthroughs; when a source disagrees, the page says so instead of smoothing it over. Screenshots are taken from official store and press materials.
Terrible Lizards is a new release, and small things change. The game received a 1.0.9 patch on October 30, 2026, less than a day after launch. If a door code, fuse, or chase behaviour no longer matches your build, send a note and the page will be corrected.
